Modding an Electric Toothbrush with a Gas-powered Engine

Presented with the “problem” of four roommates and not enough electrical outlets in the bathroom to keep all of their electric toothbrushes plugged in, German YouTuber luisengineering did what any sensible person would: agreed to share chargers or use a plug adaptor to accommodate them all. I’m kidding; he built a gas-powered toothbrush. Vroom vroom, teeth, prepare for the brushing of your life!

Using a 2-cylinder, 4-stroke gasoline engine with a 7 cc displacement and a slew of 3D printed parts, Luis was able to convert a regular electric toothbrush into one that runs on fossil fuels. Perfect for the apocalypse. Although, if it’s the apocalypse, I’m probably going to have bigger fish to fry than making sure my teeth are pearly white. Namely, not getting my brains eaten by zombies.

Do 9 out of 10 dentists recommend this toothbrush? Certainly not. But that 1 out of 10 – that’s the one you should be listening to anyways because this brush is going to get the job done. Well, provided the job is brushing your teeth so hard they’re worn down to the gums. Less room for cavities!
