Introducing the URWERK UR-100V Stardust: It’s not just a watch; it’s a cosmic bling-bling extravaganza that’ll make you feel like you’re wearing the entire galaxy on your wrist!
Picture this: 400 diamonds, not your regular run-of-the-mill diamonds, mind you, but VVS1, Color D diamonds. That’s almost 1.90 carats of pure carbon, sprinkled like stardust on this watch. They call it snow-setting, and it’s like someone scattered the gems across the watch in a fit of celestial chaos. But don’t worry, they left the edges bare, probably to give your fingers a break from all that diamond drama.
Now, this blinged-out masterpiece isn’t just about looking fabulous; it’s about reminding you that you, yes, you, are made of stardust too! We’re all just walking, talking celestial bodies, and this watch is your daily reminder.
And it’s not just about looking pretty either. The URWERK UR-100V Stardust is a cosmic time traveler. It tells you how far Earth has spun on its own axis (555 km in 20 minutes) and how far it’s zoomed around the Sun (35,740 km in the same time). It’s basically like having a mini-planetarium on your wrist, except with diamonds.
So, if you ever feel like the universe is too far away, just look down at your UR-100V Stardust and remember: you’re made of stardust, and now, you’re wearing the universe on your wrist!
Key spec sheet details include a self-winding UR 12.02 movement governed by a Windfänger airscrew, 48 hours power reserve, 40 jewels, 28,800 v/h-4 Hz frequency, a 41 mm by 49.7 mm case, steel middle case, steel crown set in diamonds, shot-blasted titanium and sapphire case back, sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 3 ATM (30 meters). This blinged watch is paired with a Baltimore blue fabric strap with a pin buckle in a shot-blasted steel set with 22 brilliant-cut diamonds.
URWERK UR-100V Stardust will sell for 88,000 CHF (around US$98,000) when it becomes available. I do not see it being listed on the official website, though.
The timepiece has a limited production of just 10 per year.
