If you are in the market for a Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified headphones with active noise cancellation that will not break the bank, well then you may want to check out the new Edifier W820NB Plus Hi-Res Audio Headphones.
Edifier is China-based audio equipment that has existed since 1996. You can say it is the granddaddy of modern-day China electronics export. We don’t post many of Edifier products but from the handful we have featured here, it is not hard to see why this nearly 30 years audio equipment maker still strives today.
Anyhoo, back to the headphones. The Edifier W820NB Plus Hi-Res Audio Headphones is a pair of ANC Bluetooth stereo headphones that promise immersive sound with both Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified.
Like many high-end active noise canceling cans, it offers ANC with ambient mode for times that you need to be aware of your surroundings.
Audio delivery is through a pair of 40 mm dynamic drivers and it connects to your Bluetooth-enabled source via Bluetooth 5.2. However, it also supports wired listening using a USB cable.
Other highlights include DNN noise cancellation technology “for crystal clear call quality”, up to 49 hours of continuous playback with ANC turned off, a quick charge feature (10 minutes for up to 7 hours of playback), LDAC Audio Codec for rich detail, 0.08s low latency for the seamless gaming experience, and super soft and comfy ear cushions. And yes, it is also marketed for gaming too.
With a look this sleek, and an asking price of just US$79.99, it is not hard to take a second look at this pair of audio cans. Though I gotta say the design of the cans while super sleek, looks suspiciously like the Sony WH-XB910N headphones. Just saying…
