The new Sony FX30 Super 35 Compact Cinema Camera (ILME-FX30) offers a ton of professional features of the Cinema Line, including Dual Base ISO, Log shooting modes, user-imported LUTs (Look Up Tables), and more, and at a price point that will appeal to aspiring filmmakers who are on a tight budget.

Under the hood, the Sony FX30 Super 35 Compact Cinema Camera is rocking a new back-illuminated 20.1 megapixels APS-C Exmor R CMOS sensor (Super 35 format, obviously) with a dual base ISO (800/2500) that promise to deliver high-sensitivity, low noise, and 14+ stops of latitude.

The ILME-FX30 also excels when it comes to video recording codecs. It is able to record 4K Super 35 in a 16:9 aspect ratio by oversampling from 6K at up to 60 fps. The ILME-FX30B further boasts the ability to record in high frame rates, including 4K at 120 fps and FHD at 240 fps.

All these are packed in a compact and lightweight design with a flat-top design with provision to accept a myriad of accessories.
