The BMW i4 M50 you see here is not just the first fully electric M automobile. It is also the second BMW M vehicle touched by New York designer Ronnie Fieg, as part of the collaboration between the designer’s brand, Kith, and BMW M GmbH.
Only seven BMW i4 M50 by Kith will be available to buy. Scratch that. It should be three because one of the seven vehicles will be auctioned to a global public audience.
Along with this special and very limited edition M electric performance vehicle, Kith is selling a 51-piece collection that includes apparel and accessories, inspired by the colors of the Kith Vitality Green vehicle paint and BMW Individual Caramel Merino vehicle leather in the brand’s stores around the world and online.
Kith Vitality Green also marked the first time BMW has named a new color after a brand partner and is only for this limited edition model. In addition, this vehicle also marked the first time in two years that BMW has changed its brand emblem for a collaboration partner.
The iconic BMW emblem on the hood of this collab EV has an additional ring in the color of Kith Vitality Green. The green ring lists the partnership, model, and year as well as emphasizes that it is an EV. The iconic M stripes also get the Kith treatment too which I thought was a cool touch:
As you may have already noted, the interior has been coordinated in classy caramel and merino leather. The M stripes on the mats also received the Kith treatment while Kith lettering can found around the cabin.
In addition to the standard equipment in the BMW i4 M50, the Kith i4 M50 has some specific equipment:
“Alongside the adaptive M chassis, these include the M sports brakes with red brake callipers, the M aerodynamic package and the BMW Individual Shadow Line lights. The Professional and Plus driving assistants also contribute to the luxurious driving feeling, as well as the electric sliding glass roof, the fine oak wood trim and the M high-gloss Shadow Line exterior trim. The features are rounded off by the Harman/Kardon surround sound audio system, which provides the perfect soundtrack to the joy and driving experience in the BMW i4 M50 by Kith.”

Beyond the Kith touches on the outside and inside, the BMW i4 M50 remains the high-performing M Electric you may have known. This means a fully electric powertrain fed by two BMW M eDrive motors producing 400 kW (544 HP) in Sport Boost mode, which takes it from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.9 seconds, and a range of up to 520 km (323 miles).
In related news, a BMW 1602 from 1972 has been electrified and decorated with design details by Ronnie Fieg, dubbed the 1972 BMW 1602 Elektro, was also revealed. If I can be honest, I am loving the 1972 1602 restomod more. Good grief. Am getting too old? Ugh.
