You may think that it makes sense for a collaboration between Monster Jam and JCB, the maker of construction and agricultural equipment since JCB’s equipment can help to build tracks for Monster Jam events. But this newly minted collab between these two family businesses goes beyond track construction and event support; they actually have a new Monster Jam truck.
Dubbed the JCB DIGatron, the body of this new Monster Jam recruit is inspired by a backhoe, one of JCB’s first products. At first glance, DIGatron looks like a legit backhoe, complete with a tractor body with a cab, a backhoe, and a stylized front loader that looks like a monster’s mouth ready to chow down its competitors. The DIGatron Monster Jam Truck is finished in JCB’s signature colorway of yellow and black, before finishing with the requisite JCB branding.
Seeing a backhoe as a monster truck is absolutely surreal! And yes, it is a real thing. The new JCB DIGatron will be driven by reigning Monster Jam World Finals Racing champion Tristan England. The backhoe-inspired monster truck will debut at Monster Jam in January at the Alamodome in San Antonio, which will also be the city for a new JCB factory.
In addition, at events where DIGatron is participating, JCB will also provide equipment to support track construction and a JCB 457 wheel loader vehicle for recovery purposes.
