We promise this will be the last Xiaomi news for this week. Along with the folding phone, Xiaomi has also revealed a new pair of “high-end” true wireless earbuds, called Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro.
At this point, we are pretty much over with how some companies cannot stop copying their competition’s naming and design. No prize for guessing where the naming and design inspiration of the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro comes from.
Presented in a dual finish (matte and gloss), the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro True Wireless Earbuds is a pair of Hi-Res Audio Wireless certified earbuds that boasts “48 dB intelligent dynamic noise reduction” and “4000 Hz ultra-wideband noise reduction.”
Audio reproduction is realized through Xiaomi’s second-generation 11mm ultra dynamic dual-magnet moving coil driver, bolstered by Peng Pai Hi-Fi sound quality, and LHDC 4.0 High Fidelity Low Latency. For voice calls, it has call noise reduction and AI anti-wind noise.
While the design of the earbuds looks suspiciously like Apple AirPod Pro, the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro does have a very unique charging case. Instead of dropping the earbuds into the case, it has an open concept case that allows for easy removal of the earbuds. Not going to lie, it is pretty damn cool.
Speaking of the case, the dual finish design continues to the case too. While the dual finish is nice to look at, it is definitely going to be a fingerprint magnet. The device connects to your smartphone, computer, or tablet via Bluetooth 5.3 with support for BLE, HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP. Battery life for the earbuds is 9 hours and 38 hours when use with the charging case.
The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro True Wireless Earbuds is on sale in China with an introductory price of 999 RMB (or around US$148).
