How much have commercial EVs progressed? Well, just look at the new REE P7-B, you’d have some ideas. It is an electric box truck designed from the ground up for the delivery vehicle market.
The REE Automotive P7-B sports a box truck configuration with an ultra-low flat floor, all-wheel steer, and it boasts up to 4,400 lbs (2,000 kilograms) payload and up to 150 miles (241 km) range. The P7-B also supports quick REEcorner swap technology.
It is powered by a 400 kW electric motor with 545 Nm (402 lb-ft) peak torque and has a max speed of 75 mph (120 km/h). The cargo space is voluminous, offering no less than 812 ft3 (23 m3).
The REE P7-B Electric Class 3 Box Truck has a full x-by-wire architecture that supports all-wheel steer, all-wheel drive, adaptive regenerative braking, creep control, hill start assist, and torque vectoring as standard as well as over-the-air updates.
Following months of successful customer evaluations, the REE P7-B Electric Class 3 Box Truck is on track for 2023 production.
