Question: is there such a thing as “high-end air purifiers”? While I am not an expert to say if “high-end air purifiers” is a thing – which the new to U.S. market Jya Fjord Series claimed to be – I do know one thing: it is an air purifier for folks who care about style as much clean air. Seriously, will you look at the thing? It’s gorgeous, isn’t it?
With the Jya Fjord, it claims to achieve a CADR, or Clean Air Delivery Rate, of 450 m3/h for an area of up to 581 square feet and a CADR of 550 m3/h for an area up to 668 square feet.
This works out to about 7,499L/12,220L of air being recycled every minute with industry-leading NanoGuard with an active carbon that filters particles and absorbs VOCs as tiny as 0.1µm and sterilizes UV(Fjord) to all kinds of invisible harmful particles. Jya claims that the Fjord series can protect against 99.95% of bacteria, viruses, pollen, formaldehyde, and smoke.
Moreover, the system also touts a “hyper-accurate” IAQ sensor that offers users an insight into the air quality at a glance, via dynamic LED lights. The sensor provides 5 key air quality data detections PM10, PM2.5, TVOC (Total Volatile Organic Compound), Temperature, and Humidity.
All these data are displayed on an HD OLED touch screen display that also offers touch controls for toggling through the different stats. But you don’t really need to meddle with the controls if you don’t want to because both the Jya Fjord and Fjord Pro can automatically offer the best purification results based on the indoor PM10/2.5 and TVOC picked up by the built-in sensors.
Jya Fjord series also works with popular smart home systems, including Google, Alexa, and Apple Homekit, using the Smartmi Link app. A few other notables include low operating noise (18.8 dB and 34 dB for Fjord and Fjord Pro, respectively), built-in omnidirectional wheels for easy moving, and Allergy Care Certification awarded by TÜV Rheinland.
Jya Fjord is available now from Amazon for US$319. Strangely, Walmart has heavily discounted it – up to 45% off – in a clearance sale where you can get it for US$289. Strange because, the product supposedly when on the U.S. market on July 5, 2022. Jya Fjord Pro, on the other hand, will only be available on August 22 on Amazon and Walmart, for US$499.
