Real Master Collection PLUS! Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla (1964) Statue

Whenever I looked at the 60s’ Godzilla, I can’t help to wonder how did the great Gojira become so lizard-like with spikes and bad skins? Anyhoo, if you are a superfan of Godzilla of the good old days, then Shonen Ric Japan has just the right collectible figure for you.

Joining the Real Master Collection PLUS! Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla (1954) and Real Master Collection PLUS! Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla (1961) from last year is the Real Master Collection PLUS! Favorite Sculptors Line Godzilla (1964). This Godzilla is, of course, based on the 1964’s Mothra vs. Godzilla movie.

It is a statue crafted from polyurethane resin that allows all the finer details like the bumps on the skin and what not to be reproduced. It further boasts a built-in LED that allows the dorsal fins to light up (requires 2x AA cells not included). All told this amazing replica of the 1964 kaiju towers at around 31 cm (12.2 inches) tall and is approximately 35 cm (13.8 inches) long.

Check out the folds replicating the rubber suit worn by the actor in the actual shoot.

Shelf space is the only thing this collectible statue demands; it also demands a chunk of your wealth, or 34,650 yen (roughly US$273), to be precise. It does not appear to be available stateside yet.
