I get it when fans pay good money for collectibles from cult movies. You know, collectibles like the Rancor figure, the Spengler’s Proton Pack, for example. But 500 bucks for a Reva (The Third Sister) Force FX Elite Lightsaber from the latest Star Wars spin-off series Obi-Wan Kenobi, now streaming on Disney+? I don’t know man.
The Star Wars The Black Series Reva (The Third Sister) Force FX Elite Lightsaber is the second The Black Series HasLab project currently being crowdfunded on HasLab. Hasbro is hoping to pull in 5,000 backers before July 11, 2022.
Before we go on, can we just say something to Hasbro… stop calling it “iconic”! Just stop. Because it is not. For the love of God, Reva only appears for the first time in the live-action Star Wars franchise in Obi-Wan Kenobi which have yet to warm the tube. Geez… Anyways, enough of my rant.
In spite of my distaste for spin-offs, I have to say the Star Wars The Black Series Reva (The Third Sister) Force FX Elite Lightsaber may be a want for serious Lightsaber collectors. I mean, the design isn’t bad at all. If we can accept Kylo Ren’s crossguard Lightsaber, surely we can appreciate the semi-circle/circular handguard.
Speaking of which, the Star Wars The Black Series Reva (The Third Sister) Force FX Elite Lightsaber is the first-ever fully integrated double-bladed FX Elite Lightsaber. Be warned though. It demands a ridiculous amount of shelf space – lengthwise – if you want to display it in its double-bladed form cos it stretches an impossibly long 6 feet and 5 inches (195 cm) long.
You can also choose to display it in the single-bladed form with a half-circle guard or the double-bladed setup without the blade. But where’s the fun in the that when the true impact of this weapon is in its double-bladed with full circle form? Just saying…
Befitting its Force FX Elite Lightsaber status, Reva’s lightsaber is blessed with authentic effects and sounds, including progressive ignition, wall-cut effect, blaster deflect effect, battle clash effect, duel effect, and battle sequence. Completing the package is a premium display stand.
Fans who are interested may make a pledge for the newest The Black Series lightsaber for US$499.99.
