If the lack of active noise cancellation has prevented you from buying the Google Pixel Buds or the Google Pixel Buds A Series TWS earbuds, then perhaps the new Google Pixel Buds Pro may entice you. That’s right. There is a new Pixel Buds in town and also yes, Google’s earbud is finally blessed with ANC.
With the Google Pixel Buds Pro, Google built the ANC with a custom 6-core audio chip that runs on Google-developed algorithms – tuned by Google’s in-house audio engineering team and delivered through custom speakers. In addition, the Pixel Buds Pro uses Silent Seal that adapts to the user’s ear for a better seal to further cut environmental noise out.
Meanwhile, built-in sensors monitor the pressure in your ear canal to ensure you are comfortable even during long listening sessions. Though, TBH, I am not sure how that works. There is also Volume EQ that will adjust the tuning as you turn the volume up and down so that highs, mids, and lows will sound balanced consistently. Moreover, Google will make available spatial audio to Pixel Buds Pro later this year.
Other features include Multipoint connectivity with automatic switching, support for Google Assistant (obviously), real-time translation in 40 languages, Transparency mode, up to 7 hours of listening time with ANC (or 11 hours with ANC turned off), and IPX4 rated construction (earbuds; the case is IPX2 rated).
The Google Pixel Buds Pro TWS Earbuds will be available to order on July 21 for US$199.
