Here Are Some New Jurassic World Dominion Toys From Mattel

The next installment of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World Dominion is upon us and so has the toys. The Jurassic World Dominion is one of, if not the most, anticipated sequel this year and it is possibly the only Jurassic Park/World installment to be fraud with controversy because of Mattel’s recent copyright strike spree.

TBH, we are hesitant to support companies that recklessly serve up copyright strikes to creators who procure the toys legally. If you are interested in finding out about Mattel’s act, you may check out this article posted by Reclaim The Net.

Anyways, so yes, the toys have been officially announced. OK. I am going to assume it is official since it was posted on Gizmodo. So, this means we are safe from Mattel legal team’s wrath right? I sure hope so.

There is a slew of toys being announced, among which is a behemoth Super Colossal Giganotosaurus that stretches a cool 3.5 feet (107 cm!) long. But are you surprised it is big? I mean they are dinosaurs aren’t they, well, granted they are just toys.

There is also a Brachiosaurus – the most iconic dino other than the T-rex – that towers at an impressive 32 inches (81 cm) and then there is of course the evergreen star predator, the Tyrannosaurus rex. Speaking of which, here’s a little trivial. The T-rex in Jurassic World was the same T-rex that appeared in 1993’s Jurassic Park.

Mattel-owned Fisher-Price also has something under its Imaginext line. It is a kid-friendly pull-along toy of a stylized Giganotosaurus that has a look that is more cartoonish. Next, there is the menacing Sound Slashin’ Therizinosaurus with its Wolverine-like claws.

The toy collection is not a dino-only thing. There are toy cars too. The first is a remote control Jeep Gladiator upgraded with a dino-grabber which you can remotely control to catch the included dino and another dino-catching truck that will appear in the upcoming movie.

Rounding the lineup is, oddly, a wearable dino mask. Odd as in inflatable dino costumes would have been more logical. But the Chomp N’ Roar Tyrannosaurus Rex Mask is here anyway, complete with a chin strap that would allow the dino mask’s jaw to move along with your mouth’s movement. Most of these toys would have sound effects too – the mask included.

You can learn more about these toys in this post by Andrew Liszewski on Gizmodo.com.
