I have a confession. I did not like the movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts a single bit but I am all for the toys. I mean, seriously, just look at the ThreeZero Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal. It will make you forget how bad the movie was.
So, rejoice fans of ROTB (or maybe just fans of the toys and collectibles) because the leader of Maximals is joining the ThreeZero Transformers lineup. Though we hardly see the big guy in his bot mode in the movie, it did not stop many, including myself, from adoring the design.
Standing at around 28.5 cm (11.2”), the ThreeZero Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal has the most points of articulation in the DLX collectible toy line with about 74 points of articulation. Designed with a die-cast metal frame for maximum levels of durability and stability, the first ThreeZero Transformers Maximal collectible figure boasts interlinking segments for the arm, leg, and body movements which enables a dynamic range of poseability.
Threezero has always prided itself on the paint applications of its figures. The ThreeZero Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal is no exception. It boasts a detailed weathered paint application for the battle-worn look while LED-illuminated eyes powered by two AG13 batteries (not included) bring the figure to life.
And it comes supplied with a bunch of accessories, including three interchangeable faces, three pairs of interchangeable hands, and my personal favorite: PVC fur which you can add to the shoulder armor for that movie-accurate look. Also included two Cyber Blades that can be combined into a single weapon, as well as a metallic chain to connect them.
The ThreeZero Transformers: Rise of the Beasts DLX Optimus Primal is expected to ship in Q3 2024. It is not clear when the pre-order will begin and how much it will cost.
Now that we are getting this awesome character as a collectible figure, think it is time to release the beast mode version. I mean, we all can agree that a mechanical gorilla is dope as f*@k, don’t we?
