LEGO 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System exists because it was a classic. It is a symbol of pop culture of a bygone era. That said I doubt LEGO will ever immortalize the new video game consoles like the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X.
But never mind if LEGO will or will not because we need to direct your attention to two brilliant LEGO MOCs: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X created by the BrickinNick (of the LEGO MOC Tesla Cybertruck), which could have a shot of being considered as official LEGO sets if they garner enough support on LEGO Ideas.
Personally, I think the LEGO MOC PlayStation 5 beautifully captures the complicated curves and angles of the device. But the LEGO MOC Xbox Series X is not shabby either. Both brick-built consoles come with a matching buildable controller, complete with a stand.
In the case of the PS5, the controller has a press-able touchpad that allows the controller to light up. While the Xbox’s controller does not have anything to press, it does have a removable battery cover to remove the brick-built batteries.
It is worth mentioning that the beauty of these brick-built video game consoles is anything but skin-deep; both proposed LEGO Ideas sets are designed to open up to reveal three hidden video game scenes. Each scene can be removed from the console and display outside of the console. The idea of the video game scenes is genius, IMHO.
If you like what you see, you may drop your precious support for the LEGO Ideas PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X by BrickinNick on LEGO Ideas and help to push these projects to the next milestone.
