When we said “There’s hope for an official LEGO Concorde set” last August, we were referring to the LEGO Idea submission by Orbiter88. We definitely did not foretell that LEGO will be designing its own after Orbiter88’s set did not get shortlisted.
So, yeah, LEGO Concorde Set is official. But it isn’t Daniel’s. After the leaked image and basic info over the weeks, which was followed by LEGO’s very own tease a couple of days ago on X, the LEGO Icons Concorde (10318) set finally gets the official words.
This made-for-adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) set packs 2,083 pieces to let you recreate one of the most iconic and famous aircraft of all time, featuring super-authentic detailings including a tiltable droop nose, functioning landing gear, a retractable tail bumper wheel, delta wings with movable elevons, hinge upper and lower rudders, and a removable to show off the opulent cabin interior.
Part of the build also includes a stand for displaying the brick-built legendary aircraft in flight, takeoff, or landing modes. When completed, the LEGO Concorde set measures over 6 in. (15 cm) high, 41.5 in. (105 cm) long, and 17 in. (43 cm) wide.
The LEGO Icons Concorde (10318) is set to drop on September 04, 2023, with a US$199.99 sticker. Recommended for ages 18 and up.
