FRVR Project Forge is a generative artificial intelligence system designed to create video games end-to-end, allowing a user to start with a basic prompt, then further refine their game with additional prompts. AI creates all the code for the game and even generates player and enemy designs when necessary. I’m a game designer now!
In the video example, they start with the most basic top-down 2D shooter and end with a top-down 2D shooter that almost looks like it could have given Galaga a run for its money in 1981. Computer, make Grand Theft Auto V, but even better! FRVR’s goal is to allow end-users to easily create their own games and then publish and share them onto multiple platforms.
Is FRVR the future of video game creation? Only time will tell. Time, and whether or not I can create a game to rival the Zelda franchise with just a few basic prompts. “Make an epic adventure game. One that’s super memorable. And more fun than any other game.” Now it’s time to just sit back and wait for the Game of the Year award to come my way!
