3D printers are a dime a dozen today. Some really good ones required some form of assembly. But not the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon here. It comes fully assembled and ready to use. It is a plug-and-plug 3D printer. A companion software, Bambu Studio, will let you resize the model, reorientate it, and more, and it will automatically calculate the supports required for the model.
Once everything is the way you like it, you can then send the model to the Bambu Lab X1-Carbon for printing. There is no worry about pre-heat or clearing of the print nozzle because these are completely automatic. When it is working, you can monitor the print process from your computer or your mobile phone.
You can choose the print speed too. Obviously, print speeds affect the print quality and so if you want a mad fast print, expect lower-quality prints.
The Bambu Lab X1-Carbon has a pretty generous print volume of 256 x 256 x 256 mm (10 x 10 x 10 inches). Under the hood, it features a quad-core SoC with 2 TOPs NPU for AI applications, a dual-core 32-bit MCU advanced motion control, and a health management system that monitors 43 sensors in real-time to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the machine.
The printer further features a dual auto bed leveling with force sensors and LIDAR, 120°C heat bed, 60°C chamber, a speedy CoreXY motion system that boasts 20,000 mm/s2 acceleration and 500 mm/s velocity, full-carbon X rail, a lightweight toolhead, carburized steel drive gears, 300°C all-metal hot end, 50 HRC hardened nozzle, active vibration compensation for silky-smooth surfaces Automatic Material System (AMS) that supports up to 16 colors, RFID technology identifies filament information, print with a variety of material, easy removal of support thanks to the snap-away support material or dissolvable filament, a 720p LCD touchscreen, and a high-capacity cooling system with an activated carbon air filter.
