We don’t write a lot of phones these days because, you know, things have gotten kind of bland in this industry. Nothing groundbreaking, IMHO. We are sticking to mainstream flagships, or devices that stood out such as the Realme GT Neo2 Dragon Ball Edition, the Realme GT2 Pro which has a back cover made out of paper (kind of), and also this: the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition.
The Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition is Realme’s latest effort in capturing the youth market and for Coca-Cola, pushing its fizzy drinks to the youth. It is hard not to notice this device. You gotta give it to Realme for going all out to make this an extraordinary collab device.
Like what it did for the Dragon Ball edition GT2 Pro, the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition has the works. And I do mean the works. From a specially decorated back cover with Cola-Cola branding and colors that mimic the sheen of a Coca-Cola can to the over-the-top Coca-Cola UI that also includes the sound of coke opening to a bunch of Coca-Cola-themed stickers.
Even the SIM ejector wasn’t spared. The SIM ejector takes on the form of a bottle cap and there’s an exclusive, not-for-separate-sale Coca-Cola created for this package, called, wait for it, realmeow. Yup. REALMEOW. Realmeow looks like a biped cat-inspired character wearing futuristic eyewear (VR headset, perhaps?) and has the Daft Punk vibe. The character is presented in a translucent Coca-Cola soft drink color.
There is a catch here though. Those things are part of the Deluxe Boxset which is not for sale. We are sure we get to have this package. Perhaps tech influencers and the media, I supposed. Anyhoo… circling back to the UI, it boasts a specially designed lock screen, charging animation, and matching icons for the pre-installed apps. Also, there is an 80s Cola Filter for imaging too. Snazzy.
But beyond the fizz and hiss, the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition shares the same specs as a regular 10 Pro 5G. This means it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC and features a 120 Hz 6.7-inch FHD “Boundless” display with ridiculously slim bezels, a 108 MP “ProLight” camera system, up to 8GB+8GB Dynamic RAM, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
The phone is outfitted with an 8 GB LPDDR4X and 128 GB of UFS 2.2. So, yeah, it is not going to super-fast device but hopefully, the Coca-Cola branding will help to bump up the “want” factor.
Speaking of which, the Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola Edition is apparently exclusive in India where it was sold for 20,999 rupees (approximately US$253). We said “was sold” because the sale for the device went live on February 14 and it looks like the stocks are out because there is a button that says “Notify Me”.
