This High-tech Child Seat Claims To Be The World’s Safest Car Seat

You know how modern cars will set off an alert if the front passenger did not buckle up? Well, a startup child car seat maker has implemented this feature on a child car seat – in addition to a bunch of other safety features.

babyark World’s Safest Car Seat

This high-tech car seat is called babyark. babyark’s safety starts with the seat construction which features patented impact-absorbing technology and innovative protective performance materials such as carbon fiber.

The frame, called CrbnEgg Frame, is the new standard of protective design and is so called because the design was inspired by the egg’s robust shape but built with carbon fiber.

Like bucket seats in race cars, babyark protects the child from head and neck injuries during an impact. The tech, called JoltFree Headrest, is built with D3O, the world’s most technologically-advanced impact absorbing polymer.

This tech, together with the impact-activated SafeCoil system, a shock-absorbing system that gently slows the seat’s forward momentum at a safe and controlled rate, works to protect the child in the event of an impact.

Furthermore, the seat packs no less than 14 sensors that will alert the driver via the babyark app if the seat is installed correctly if the child is buckled or god forbids if the child to be forgotten in the vehicle. There is also visual confirmation if the seat has been installed properly, btw.

Like any good child seat, babyark can be mounted front or rear facing. It can be used for infants and children from 4 to 65 pounds (1.8-29 kg) and allows for extended rear-facing up to 55 pounds (25 kg).

This is certainly the most advanced child car seat we have read about. However, it does not come cheap. The seat is available for pre-order now for a limited-time price of US$990. Delivery is expected to commence by May 31, 2023. It will cost a cool US$1,190 when it becomes officially available in the summer of 2023.
