The Nürburgring-Nordschleife is the place to prove how fast a car can go and the latest to set a record – the #1 on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife – is Mercedes-AMG ONE with racing driver and AMG brand ambassador Maro Engel behind the wheel.
Engel beats the previous record for road-legal production cars by an impressive eight seconds despite the track conditions being less than ideal.
With an officially measured and notarized time of 6:35.183 minutes for rounding the 20.832 kilometers (12.944 miles) track, the hypercar with Formula 1 hybrid drivetrain technology is officially the new king of Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
For the benefit of those who don’t already know, the Mercedes-AMG is powered by a hybrid drivetrain comprising a 1.6L V6 paired with four electric motors, producing a combined 1,063 horsepower which is put good use on all four wheels via the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive – with torque vectoring to boot. It has a top speed of 352 km/h (219 mph).
You can witness the feat in the video embedded below.
