What is a Transformers movie without everyone’s favorite antagonist Megatron? Well, actually that was kind of the case with the Bumblebee movie from 2018. You’d think it was a huge missed opportunity to sell a toy of Megatron. Well no. Megatron, while did not appear in the movie, did exist as a concept art and now, it is a toy money can buy. Missed opportunity, not!
The Transformers Studio Series Leader Transformers: Bumblebee 109 Concept Art Megatron, as it is called, is a toy based on the original concept art for the 6th Transformers movie. It features, you guessed it, movie-inspired details and accessories.
But more importantly, this figure has three modes instead of the usual two. It is a triple changer – industry speaks – which have not seen coming from Hasbro for a very long time.
It converts from a robot to a Cybertronian tank in 32 steps and then to a Cybertronian jet in 39 modes. In bot mode, it towers at 21.6 cm (8.5 inches) and the figure is, of course, articulate to allow for a variety of poses.
This being a Studio Series, it does come with a removable backdrop. In this case, the backdrop features the Cybertron Fall scene.
The Transformers Studio Series Leader Transformers: Bumblebee 109 Concept Art Megatron will drop on February 01, 2024, for US$54.99. Last checked, it was sold out on Hasbropulse.com.
But you can pre-order them from major toy retailers. If not, you can always wait for it to hit the shelves of Walmart and Target. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
