Fans of Marvel Comics Ghost Rider, specifically the All-New Ghost Rider (2014, Marvel Comics) featuring Robbie Reyes as the supernatural superhero with a flaming skull, will not want to miss HasLab’s latest project, the Marvel Legends HasLab Engine of Vengeance.
I have to say you have to be a bigger fan of Robbie’s flaming muscle car than his supernatural alter ego because Marvel Legends HasLab Engine of Vengeance is the real star of this collectible while the 6-inch scale Ghost Rider figure feels more like an accessory to the car.
The figure has a flaming skull for the head and comes with a few comic-inspired accessories, including a real metal chain. Meanwhile, the muscle car is a premium collectible of 1:12 scale and measures about 18.5 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and 5.5 inches tall (47 x 19 x 14 cm).
The muscle car boasts a snazzy light-up function that features no less than 20 LEDs “for scorching Hellfire light-up effects in the tires, engine, grill, tailpipes, and even on the headrest of the driver’s seat.” The latter is to make up for the lack of a light-up feature on Reyes’ flaming head.
Included in the package are 6 flame trail effect pieces for the tires and tailpipes, 2 Brimstone Risers for dynamic car display, and 4 interchangeable tires and one additional engine that are not on fire to replica the Street Mode.
Since Robbie not getting a non-flaming head sculpt, the latter is kind of pointless, in my humble opinion. BUT that will change IF the campaign reaches its minimum goal of 9,000 backers before 11:59 PM ET on September 23, 2022. If that is achieved, all project backers before the campaign ends will receive a Marvel Legends Robbie Reyes Human-Form 6-inch scale figure.
The Marvel Legends HasLab Engine of Vengeance is currently being crowdfunded on HasLab for US$349.99. HasLab will need 9,000 fans to commit as backers in order to put it into production. It is nearly halfway there with 42 more days to go. The campaign, which started on September 16, 2022, will end on October 31, 2022, at 11:59 PM ET.
