Samsung is getting very ambitious with its earbuds. The electronics giant’s latest Pro version of the Galaxy Buds2 i.e. the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro wants to take everyday listening experiences to the next level with 24bit Hi-Fi sound with Samsung seamless codec – which has 256 times more audio details, btw – and 360 Audio that promised to deliver “cinematic sound that feels large and intimate all at once.”
Audio reproduction of the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro is delivered through a two-way coaxial featuring a 5.3 mm tweeter and a 10 mm woofer. The design and ergonomics have been boosted too, affording longer wear without fatigue. The new TWS from Samsung also touts an updated Intelligent Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and there is Voice Detect feature too that automatically adjusts the volume when it detects you are having an in-person conversation.
The buds also feature a beamforming mic for clear calls and video recordings, and later this year, Samsung will make LE audio available, allowing you to record realistic 360 audio. Finally, there’s auto switching between paired devices. For example, when a phone call came in when you are watching a show on Samsung TV or tablet with the earbuds, it will automatically switch to the phone and switch back to the tablet or TV when you are done with the call.
There is a summary of the features and specs in the official infographic below if anyone’s interested. The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro will be released on August 26, 2022, for US$229.99. Meanwhile, you can take advantage of the pre-order discount (US$154.99) on Samsung.com.
