This one goes out to all the aviation buffs out there. LEGO has a new Technic helicopter set, the LEGO Technic Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter (42145), which looks super dope, IMHO.
The LEGO Technic Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter (42145) is officially licensed and as the product name suggests, it is based on the real-life Airbus H175 helicopter.
It is a model that, when completed, begs to be explored. While it may not fly, it does come standard with a battery-powered motor that spins the main and tail rotors that have two-speed settings.
The motor also powers the rescue winch (!), the retractable landing gear, and the spinning replica engine.
Inside the cabin, there is a functional cyclic and collective pitch control (no rotor controls though) that allows you to explore the movement of the swash plate and adjust the pitch of the main rotor blades.
The model further features an opening front and back cowl that, when removed, lets you admire the steering mechanisms in all their full glory.
The main cockpit doors can be opened too, and the passenger doors can slide open and close.
When completed, the model measures a shelf space demanding 9.5 inches high, 28 inches long, and 5 inches wide (24 x 72 x 13 cm).
The LEGO Technic Airbus H175 Rescue Helicopter (42145) is available now for US$206.99. Recommended for ages 11 and up.
