If you are looking to give your flat screen TV’s audio a boost with the latest home entertainment hype, Dolby Atmos, then you may want to check out the new Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 3 Soundbar which costs no more than most high-end soundbars.
For under a thousand dollars, you’d be getting proven audio quality, now with Dolby Atmos spatial audio – the first Bowers & Wilkins soundbar to do so – tuned by the engineering team behind the loudspeakers used in the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
Under the hood of this beautiful, ultra-low-profile soundbar is 13 drivers bolstered by no less than 400W of amplification, sophisticated Dolby Atmos decoder, and processor.
The 13 speakers include six mid-range drivers, three high-end tweeters, two bass units, and two up-firing drivers to properly deliver the Dolby Atmos experience. In other words, the soundbar is essentially a 3.1.2 system but without clutter.
It is the perfect high-end soundbar for those who do not have space for a subwoofer. IMHO, that is kind of rare as more often than not, most high-end audio makers will shove a sub into your face.
Other notables include one-cable connection, on-bar control via capacitive touch ‘hidden until lit’ buttons, built-in Alexa, wireless streaming over AirPlay 2 and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth, support Spotify Connect, and high-resolution streaming with Bowers & Wilkins Music App that offers instant access to a host of streaming services like Deezer, Last.fm and more.
Like the new-generation Zeppelin, the Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 3 can be upgraded with new features through updates. One of the upgrades includes multi-room capability. Yup. Multi-room… for a soundbar, which is kind of weird, IMHO.
But anyhoo… the Bowers & Wilkins Panorama 3 Wireless Dolby Atmos Soundbar is available now for US$999.
