Morgan Motor, the British automaker most notable for its three-wheel rides, is celebrating its 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans win in the 2.0L class with the Morgan Plus Four LM62.
Limited to just 62 examples, the Morgan Plus Four LM62 is based on the standard Morgan Plus Four and it is the brand’s tribute to the Morgan Plus 4 SuperSports which took the podium of the 2.0-liter class 60 years ago.
The Morgan Plus Four LM6 features a host of bespoke features and equipment, including a hardtop in Heritage White – just like the one fitted to the famous race car, LM62 graphics pack, silver-painted wire wheels, a Le Mans-style fuel filler cap, a domed rear panel, driving spotlights, body-colored A-pillars, a black splitter and cowl mesh, polished stone guard, black mohair widescreens, a widescreen bag embroidered with the LM62 logo, and an active sports exhaust with black tailpipes.
On the inside, there is an LM62 metal plaque, denoting the car’s unique build number from its run of 62, along with LM62 laser-engraved black saddle-leather door pulls and headrests embroidered with the specially design LM62 graphic. Completing the interior are bespoke satin lacquer rubber mats with black vinyl edges, painted steering wheel center, a Tawny wood center-tunnel top and dashboard, and heated black Comfort Plus seats with horizontal pleating, perforated seat centers with matching stick color and leather-wrapped seatbacks.
The vehicle can, of course, be further customizable with other options. The Morgan Plus Four LM62 is available to order now globally, in right- or left-hand drive, with a choice of manual or automatic gearboxes.
Prices in the U.K. start at £78,995 (about US$106,810).
