Bandai Gundam White Rider Has A Crown That Looks Suspiciously Like A WiFi Router

Having an antenna or two on the head of a Gundam is almost customary. These “horns” are apparently a nod to the Samurai helmets and served as antennae and they are nothing out of the ordinary. But it begs the question: how many horns/antenna/fins are considered too much? I don’t know, perhaps eight? Because eight horns are exactly what the upcoming Bandai HG 1/144 White Rider is rocking.

Judging from the color separation, the eight protruding pieces on the Bandai HG 1/144 White Rider looks more like a headpiece such as a crown. But wait a minute… it kind of looks like a WiFi router, doesn’t it? Seriously, tell me the WiFi router wasn’t the first thing you thought of when you saw the White Rider. Come on. It can’t be just me.

Jokes aside, the Bandai HG 1/144 White Rider was announced by Premium Bandai in celebration of the launch of the video game Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy on PlayStation 5. It is part of the three model kit suits that will hit the market in 2022.
