Our interest was piqued when we heard there’s a luxury watch developed in collaboration with Aston Martin. Then we realized, the Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition from Swiss luxury watchmaker Girard-Perregaux is possibly reserved for super fans because it has no in-your-face Aston Martin’s presence.
Hints of Aston Martin on this exquisite timepiece is the “Aston Martin Green” (also known as British racing green) dial face, achieved by applying the paint twenty-one times, and the cross-hatching design that is a homage to the British automaker’s ‘AM’ logo that existed from 1921-1926.
The cross-hatching motif was also inspired by the quilted seats found in many of Aston Martin’s sports cars.
The launch of the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition also marks the first time a Laureato Chronograph is outfitted with an open caseback. A sapphire crystal around the back lets you have a peek at the automatic, Manufacture movement, the Calibre GP03300-0141.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition has a limited run of just 188 pieces worldwide and it is available as we speak from all authorized Girard-Perregaux retailers for US$18,100.
