In spite of some claims that certain color is the new black, black will remain the black. I mean, the black colorway is a symbol of sophistication with a hint of mystery to it. There is something timeless about this color. And if you share this belief, then we are sure the Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost Luxury Sedan will tickle your fancy.
Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost is the purest Black Badge automobile in the marque’s history, said Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. Clearly, this ain’t your regular Ghost, and mind you, it is not just the look that isn’t regular.
The 6.75L V12 motor has been massaged to produce 591 HP and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) compared to the regular Ghost’s 563 HP and 850 Nm. The power plant is paired to a ZF eight-speed gearbox, affording the Black Badge Ghost to rocket from naught to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.7 seconds and sending it on its way to a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h).
In addition to bump in power output, the drivetrain and chassis have been re-engineered for “more urgent performance.”
Despite it having the Black Badge label, you can commission one in one of the 44,000 ‘ready-to-wear’ colors. But if you want a striking cool ride, the signature Black is the go-to color.
Billed as the motor car industry’s darkest black (but not the blackest black applied onto an automobile), 100 lbs (45 kg) of paint is atomized and applied to an electrostatically charged body in white before being oven-dried. After which, two layers of clear coast are applied and then hand-polished to perfection by master craftsmen.
The new Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost commission is offered with a curated collection that includes Turchese Leather and Technical Carbon veneer, along with bespoke allow wheel introduced in Black Badge house style with carbon fiber barrel.
The Rolls-Royce Black Badge Ghost is available to commission now. If you are keen, you can find more information HERE.
