What you see here is the Moondrop Venus Planar Magnetic Headphones. It is as futuristic as it looks. And it is a pair of headphones to look out for if you care about sonic performance because, well, it’s a planar headphone. However, it does not come cheap. But more on that in a jiffy.

Packed inside each aviation-grade aluminum alloy CNC ear enclosure is an aluminum alloy CNC cavity patented integrated structure, an impressive 36-strong array of N52 magnets that benefit from FEA finite element analysis and combined high-frequency waveguide phase equalization technology, and 100 mm sub-nanometer (2 microns) diaphragm with pure silver etched circuit.
The result is a pair of super high-end audiophile cans with a frequency response curve that is highly consistent with Head Related Transfer Function or HRTF (20 Hz to 20 kHz), ultra-low distortion even under loud pressure, 100 decibels of sensitivity, and a low headroom of 18 ohms of impedance.

Additional highlights include secondary diaphragm stress balance technology, an interchangeable cable design with 3.5 mm jacks, and a self-adjusting leather headband.
The Moondrop Venus Planar Magnetic Headphones do not come cheap. It has an MSRP of US$599.99 but you could save yourself a couple of Alexander Hamiltons by pre-ordering from Drop.com for US$510. Shipping is estimated to happen on December 08, 2023.
