Once again, DJI is giving GoPro a run for its money with a new action camera. The DJI Osmo Action 4, as it is called, boasts a boatload of upgrades. For starters, it is now rocking a 65% larger sensor over its predecessor (which did not feature, btw), a 1/1.3-inch sensor with a 2.4 µm pixel size that would afford a larger dynamic range and exposure latitude, and better low light performance.
The DJI Osmo Action 4 further boasts 10-bit & D-Log M color performance that allows for flexibility in editing for pro creators. For underwater adventurers, the DJI Osmo Action 4 will surely please with up to 18 meters (60 feet) waterproofing without the need for waterproof accessories, and the built-in color temperature sensor offers precision color calibration for stunning underwater shots without editing.
Other highlights include 155° ultra-wide FoV, 4K/120 fps slow-motion videoing, Rocksteady 3.0 image stabilization technology, 360° Horizonsteady, deep-freeze resistant (down to -20°C or -4°F cold resistant), 2.5 hours battery life, dual full-color touchscreens, support native vertical video recording, magnetic quick release, wind noise reduction, Invisistick features that makes selfie stick disappear with just a tap, and wearable GPS Bluetooth remote controller offers info like route, speed, distance and more for tracking your journey or to share them if so desire.
