The market is not lacking of Robotech/Macross toys and as an owner of a number of them, I can confidently tell you they are hardly play-durable. The quality was anything but desirable. But I am hopeful that Threezero will make it right with the newly revealed ThreeZero Robotech ROBO-DOU VF-1J Veritech (Rick Hunter) since the toymaker has proven itself many times over in recent years.
The ThreeZero Robotech ROBO-DOU VF-1J Veritech (Rick Hunter) is based on the Robotech series that was telecasted in the U.S. during the 80s. This particular figure is the protagonist Rick Hunter’s spacecraft which stands around 8 inches (20.3 cm) tall in Battloid mode (basically, robot mode). It can be fully transformable between Fighter, Guardian, and Battloid modes.
As a ROBO-DOU figure, the ThreeZero Robotech ROBO-DOU VF-1J Veritech (Rick Hunter) boasts the same ultra-rigid framework that ensures structural integrity, stable posing experience, and of course, signature paint application. The ultra-rigid framework is made possible by the zinc alloy die-cast interior frame which offers no less than 109 points of articulation that has an impressive range of movement.
The figure will include the iconic GU-11 Gunpod, four sets of missiles, and four pairs of interchange hands.
The ThreeZero will start taking pre-orders for the Robotech ROBO-DOU VF-1J Veritech (Rick Hunter) figure on July 28, at 9 AM Hong Kong Time for a yet-to-be-revealed sticker.
Shipping for the figure is expected to commence sometime in Q4 2023.
