Clearly, modding your Steam Deck to have a transparent back isn’t enough. The idea of an opaque front and a clear back is cool and all but wouldn’t it be nice if the entire Steam Deck could be transparent? Enter JSAUX Transparent Front Cover for Steam Deck, the replacement front cover that will finally allow you to turn your Steam Deck fully transparent.
But there’s a catch. While the JSAUX Transparent Front Cover for Steam Deck does come with a full complementary tool kit and an installation guide, the process ain’t going to be easy. It would be far more complex than the back plate. JSAUX said the entire process will likely take around 3 to 5 hours. Perhaps, it may be a better idea to reach out to your local repair guys to do the job.
Anyhoo, if you are down, the new JSAUX Transparent Front Cover for Steam Deck is available in a choice of crystal, brown, and purple (my personal favorite, btw), for US$35.99.
In related news, JSAUX also has a new version of the transparent back plate which adds another ventilation at the Steam Deck’s fan to improve heat dissipation.
Unfortunately, though, the new transparent back plate is not available to buy on its own; it can only be purchased as a set with the new transparent front cover for US$49.99. That’s not all.
JSAUX also introduced an anti-glare screen that reduces the original screen’s glare. The anti-glare screen is targeted at users who have bought the 64 GB eMMC or the 256 GB NVMe SSD model that does not come with the premium anti-glare etched glass which is only offered on the range-topping 512 GB model. The anti-glare screen does not come cheap; it will run you back at US$89.99.
