Aston Martin is 110 years old this year. To celebrate, it has unveiled the Aston Martin Valour, an ultra-exclusive V12-engined, manual transmission special edition sports car that pays homage to the British luxury sports car maker’s long tradition of superlative, front-engined sports cars.
The Aston Martin Valour is targeted at purists who demand an unadulterated and viscera-driving experience, and who are, of course, super-rich. It benefits from an end-of-an-era specification which includes a front-mounted 5.2L V12 twin-turbo engine mated to – for the very first time – a bespoke 6-speed manual gearbox – making it the only front-engined V12 sports car available with a stick shifter.
This motor produces more than just healthy 715 PS (705 HP) and 753 Nm (555 lb-ft) of torque. Aesthetically, it is absolutely striking. Like, is that even a surprise? The design draws on the styling of the iconic 1970s/80s V8 Vantage and the legendary ‘Muncher’ Le Mans racer.
The result is a beautiful cross between a modern V12 Vantage and the one-off supercar we saw in 2020 – which is a design if I can be honest, I never thought would ever see the light of production. But I am glad it did because goddamn it, the Aston Martin Valour is gorgeous!
Other highlights include a mechanical limited-slip differential, three driving modes, a bespoke suspension setup, rear suspension tower strut brace, fuel tank bracing, “classically-inspired” round LED headlights, clusters of LED light blades at the rear, Carbon Ceramic Brakes, a set of 21-inch lightweight forced alloy ‘Honeycomb’ wheels wrapped with AML-specific Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tires – 275/35 R1 front and 325/30 R21 rear.
Production of the new Aston Martin Valour will start in Q3 2023 with the first deliveries in Q4 2023. The price is not known but pricing is the least of your worry because this super cool supercar has a limited run of just 110 units worldwide. This means that it is likely that all 110 units are spoken for.
