I can’t remember if the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have arcade cabinets in their base but I do recall TMNT had its own arcade video games several decades ago. Speaking of arcade cabinets, here’s your opportunity to pick up the original TMNT arcade cabinets, albeit in quarter scale.
Numskull has revealed two awesome Quarter Arcades: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time. The former is a 1/4 scale replica of Konami’s original 1989 TMNT arcade cabinet while the latter is a 1/4 scale replica of Konami’s 1991 Turtles in Time arcade cabinet.
Both arcade cabinets are fully playable replicas using the original TMNT arcade ROM of the respective games. These realistic replicas are crafted from wood and everything from the artwork, shape, and buttons matches the original cabinets.
Other highlights include a 6” TFT screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, a new CRT lens screen cover, a light-up marquee, support for four-player simultaneous play, 4x front USB ports (hidden behind the coin doors) for use with USB gaming controllers (not included), original sound positioning via 3W built-in speaker with volume control, powered via USB-C (cable included), and built-in rechargeable lithium battery.
Each cabinet measures 234 mm (9.2 inches) wide, 240 mm (9.4 inches) deep, and 445 mm (17.5 inches). They are the biggest 1/4 arcade machine yet from Numskull.
Each cabinet can be purchased as a standard edition or as a limited edition which includes a signed version of the arcade along with other collectibles, including a TMNT-themed arcade stool, Certificate of Authenticity, and more.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time Quarter Scale Arcade Cabinets can be pre-ordered now for US$299.99 from the Konami website. The Limited Edition cabinets are Just Geek exclusive which sells for £349.99.
One thing to note about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Limited Edition is that it has a limited run of just 350 units and the Turtles in Time Limited Edition has just 150 units.
