Limited Edition Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch: When Diving Meets Space Theme

This is the Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch. It is the result of marrying an Isotope Hydrium diving watch with the icon of space theme: NASA. Watchmaker Isotope Watches has taken its handsome diving watch and given it a NASA makeover. This is not the first dive watch to get the NASA makeover, btw.

Limited Edition Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch

The Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch is presented in a 316L stainless steel case finished in a polymer-ceramic coating called Cerakote that lends it a distressed look – mimicking the unique distressed texture on the outside of the reentry module after being subjected to scorching heat. This unique texture is unique and exclusive to each timepiece.

The watch features a clean, layered off-white dial that offers a sense of depth. The depth starts with the railroad track outer ring that affords quick glance at the minutes and seconds before getting elevated by the Lacrima at the center, Isotope’s logo, and then the signature box-shaped hands – both all of which are outlined in dark blue color, and striking red second hand.

The final NASA touch is an exclusive NASA Strap with a micro-blasted steel buckle created by Nick Mankey Designs. It is also supplied with a 22 mm quick-release grey FKM strap.

Limited Edition Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch

The Limited Edition Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch is powered by an automatic, self-winding Swiss Landeron mechanical movement which is visible through the Hydrium screen-down exhibition back. The movement, which boasts no less than 25 jewels, runs at 4 Hz/28,800 VpH and offers a power reserve of 40 hours.

The Swiss-made automatic movement further touts extensive decorations, including blued screws, perlage, Côtes de Genève, and the Isotope Lacrima on the oscillating weight.

Other highlights include a uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks, anti-reflective double domed sapphire crystal, screw-down crown at 3 o’clock, Super-LumiNova-treated Isotope “i” hands, and water resistance to 300 meters (30 ATM/1,000 feet).

Limited Edition Isotope Hydrium NASA Wrist Watch

The Isotope Hydrium NASA has a limited run of just 200 pieces. If anyone’s down, you can pre-order the timepiece for £825 (about US$1,029). The watch is slated to ship in August 2023.
