LEGO Masters finalist and gamer Nick Lever combined his two passions into this 1:1 scale LEGO Nintendo Game Boy. The life-size portable gaming system is made of 354 pieces and 115 unique parts and even features a pressable D-pad and insertable game cartridges. The only thing missing is actually being able to play games!
Nick made four game cartridges for the system: Tetris, The Legend of Zelda: Links Awakening, and Pokemon Red and Blue. I would have liked to see some Donkey Kong Land in the mix, but I’ll let it slide since Tetris and Link’s Awakening are two of the best games ever made, and I still play them to this day. And probably this afternoon instead of working.
If you’re interested in building your own, Nick is selling the required piece list and instructions by contacting him on Instagram. Or you can just eyeball it. That’s what I did, and I have to admit, mine looks nothing like a Game Boy.
