Thanks to series like The Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, Star Wars are presented with a new opportunity to pick up Star Wars collectibles that they may have missed years ago. The Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Force FX Yoda Lightsaber is one such example.
The new Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Force FX Yoda Lightsaber is based on the Yoda lightsaber as seen in the Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett live-action series. As expected of a Force FX lightsaber, this collectible lightsaber features LED lights with entertainment-inspired sound effects that let you reimagine iconic scenes from the Star Wars saga (not just The Book of Boba Fett).
Using the switch and button on the hilt, you can trigger the series-inspired effects, including the iconic lightsaber progressive ignition, battle clash effect, wall-cutting effect, blaster deflect, duel effect, and a battle sequence mode – you know, the usual stuff.
The Hasbro Star Wars The Black Series Force FX Yoda Lightsaber includes a removable kyber crystal, a removable blade, and a stand. It is outfitted with a non-replaceable rechargeable 3.7V 880 mAh li-ion battery. Honestly, I know it is good for the environment but I am not sure if a “non-removable” battery is the best idea considering that this is a collectible. Just saying…
In any case, it looks like Hasbro is going with rechargeable batteries for at least the lightsaber moving forward. In fact, I believe it started with the new Darksaber Force FX lightsaber introduced recently (though not Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber from last year).
This latest Force FX lightsaber can be had for US$249.99 when it becomes available on January 15, 2024. However, if you really want one, we’d suggest you secure a copy by pre-ordering it from Hasbropulse.com to avoid disappointment. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
