Taking personal customization to the next level, Formify is selling gaming mice that are 3D printed based on a photo of your own hand. Finally, I’m tired of using a generic mouse. I have a unique hand, and it demands a unique peripheral made just for it.
The process begins with you coughing up $142 and submitting a photo of your hand. That photo is then analyzed using AI technology, “taking into account factors such as finger length, width, and hand size to identify the optimal design for your performance mouse.” The mouse is then 3D printed using industrial-grade additive manufacturing (MJF). Lastly, you have to find something else to blame for your poor performance playing Counter-Strike.
Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time I used a mouse instead of the trackpad on my laptop, and I’d be willing to bet good money the last mouse I owned had one of those roller balls in the bottom that you could take out and play with when you were bored. Those balls were great, weren’t they? They sure couldn’t bounce, though.
