Inspired by nature and designed by Robert van Embricqs, the Flow Wall Desk is a wooden desk that folds out from the wall when you need to write an angry email but folds up flat to the wall when you don’t. Me? I’m forever writing angry emails, so it would probably always be in its desk form.
The desk, which is priced like a piece of art at $2,875, measures 40″ in width, with a depth of about 20″. Of course, that isn’t all useable surface on account of its semicircular shape, so don’t expect to be able to fit a Newton’s Cradle or other executive desk toys on its surface in addition to your laptop.
Obviously, this is the perfect desk for the person who can afford a $3,000 desk but not a larger apartment. I’m thinking of somebody who lives in New York City. I looked at apartments there once – I saw one that was the size of a shoebox. As a matter of fact, I’m still not convinced it wasn’t a shoebox. It even smelled like a Nike.
