Because every garage deserves an appropriately themed kegerator, Etsy shop AutomotiveDesignM5 has built one featuring a tap made from a real moped engine that’s been cleaned and polished (complete with piston pour handle!). I imagine somewhere out there, at least one diehard moped and beer fan is ecstatic their dream kegerator has finally been made a reality.
The liquid temperature can be set as low as 2º C (~36ºF), and up to 12º C (54ºF), with up to 6 liters of liquid cooled at a time. The refrigerator is also equipped with a compressor, so there’s no need for additional gas cylinders. A self-contained system, I like that. Now if it just brewed its own beer to keep the keg full, too, I’d never have to leave the garage.
The kegerator was designed for use with 4.5 and 6L mini beer kegs, but it can also be used to dispense water, juice, or, if you’re really trying to get drunk in a hurry, wine or vodka. Now I don’t know about you, but to me, a kegerator dispensing chilled vodka sounds like a disaster just waiting to happen.
