Volkswagen Shared Design Sketches Of Its First Fully-electric Sedan, Volkswagen ID. AERO

We are not sure if Volkswagen will become the global market leader in electric mobility by 2025 but one thing for sure is that the automaker is working hard to make it happen. It has been pretty aggressive in introducing new electric vehicles under its ID series.

Volkswagen ID. AERO Electric Sedan

Speaking of which… hot on the heels of the recent reveal of the ID. Buzz van and cargo, is the automaker’s first fully-electric sedan, dubbed ID. AERO. Volkswagen has just shared the design sketches (more like a sketch, really) of the future model for the upper-middle class in China.

Like the VW electric models to date, the ID. AERO is based on Volkswagen’s Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MED). The German automaker said the vehicle’s styling follows the design language of other VW EVs, such as the ID.4 and ID. Buzz.

But, TBH, I don’t I see no ID. Buzz. ID.4 maybe. Definitely not Buzz in it. Then again, it is only one sketch we have to decipher at this point. Anywho, the vehicle is said to be 5-meter long and, well, that’s about it that we know.

There will be a digital world premiere on June 27, at 14:00 CEST.

The production version of the ID. AERO concept is expected to go on sale in China as soon as the third quarter of 2023.
