We don’t want to do this now but man, the 2023 Honda Civic Type R is looking pretty dope even with the camo skin. Recently, Honda shared a set of images of the upcoming performance Civic along with the news of it setting a new lap record for a front-wheel-drive car at Japan’s Suzuka Circuit.
The upcoming performance Civic, dressed in camo, lapped the 5.8 kilometers (3.6 miles) in 2 minutes 23.120 seconds – a record that is 0.873 seconds faster than its predecessor, the stripped-back 2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition.
I know we talked shit about the 11th-generation Civic’s aesthetic but we may finally change our mind for the first time since 2015. Although the images were a camouflaged Civic Type R, we can clearly see the sporty aesthetic.
The bulging front bumper and wide-body rear do give the car a sportier and sharper appearance. We love it and we can’t wait for the official launch which should be happening within this year, or at least it will be in Europe.
