LEGO Architecture Great Pyramid of Giza (21058): Cross-section Comes As Standard

Since its introduction in 2008, LEGO Architecture has had nearly every iconic and historic building covered. There is the Empire State Building, London’s Trafalgar Square, and the modern marvel, the Burj Khalifa. We heard, soon another (bigger) version of the Eiffel Tower will be joining too. But first, one of the most mysterious and oldest architecture in the world has joined LEGO Architecture.

Folks, meet the LEGO Great Pyramid of Giza (21058). Set to hit the market in August, this 1,476-piece set is unlike any LEGO Architecture before it. It invites you to take an imaginative leap back in time to the 26th century BC and get involved in building one of the Seven Wonders of the world.

Interestingly, it is not a full pyramid. It is only half (of a pyramid), thus allowing the detailed cross-section to be viewed. This unique cross-section model of the Great Pyramid reveals the main tunnels and chambers, as well as the system that may have been used to move huge stones during its construction.

In addition, you’d be a section of the Nile river as what it may have looked in ancient times –  complete with 2 small pyramids, 2 mortuary temples, Sphinx statues, an obelisk, trees, boats, and of course, part of the river itself.

The completed model, which measures 20 cm tall, 35 cm wide, and 32 cm deep (8 x 13.5 x 12.5 inches), the white outer shell can be removed to reveal the aforementioned stone-moving system.

Even better is, it can be connected to a second model (sold separately) to complete a full pyramid. Not going to lie. I am a little sold by the idea.
