Samsung Galaxy Book Series from last year has the affordable to the most powerful covered. This year, the new Galaxy Book2 will have power users and business users covered. Meet the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Series: the Galaxy Book2 Pro, and the Galaxy Book2 Business.
The Galaxy Book2 Pro consists of two models: the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 with S Pen functionality and Galaxy Book2 Pro with 5G – with each model offered in two screen sizes. First and foremost as always, Samsung promised to offer “enterprise-level security” with these devices that will safeguard your data, identity, and privacy.
With the Galaxy Book2 Pro, Samsung takes security even further with the Pro series becoming the first consumer PC lineup to meet Microsoft’s secured-core PC requirements.
Samsung’s latest thin and light ultraportable laptop is powered by the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors, Intel Iris Xe or Intel Arc Graphics, up to 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and up to a terabyte NVMe SSD.
The Pro Series is armed with brighter GREENGUARD-certified AMOLED displays and atop of that is a 1080p FHD webcam, featuring Samsung’s version of Center Stage called Auto Framing that keeps you centered during a video call even as you move around. The webcam is completed by a bi-directional AI noise-canceling dual-array mic.
Other notables include a backlit keyboard, max 5W output Smart Amp, stereo speaker, supports AKG and Dolby Atmos sound technology, new colors, 5G and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, Bluetooth 5.1, and up to 21 hours battery life paired with super-fast USB Type-C universal charger that can use to charge other Galaxy devices.
As for the 360, it is a convertible. A hinge allows the device to be used as a tablet and as a traditional laptop.
Out of the box, the new Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro Series runs on Windows 11. The Business model, on the other hand, runs on Windows 11 Pro. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Business is built on the vPro platform and touts defense-grade security, along with advanced productivity features.
It comes armed with a 14-inch FHD Anti-Glare display with an FHD 1080p + IR camera up top. The video conference essential is complete by a dual mic setup.
Under the hood, it benefits from the Intel vPro with 12th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processors, or 12th Gen Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processors, up to 64 GB RAM, and up to 1 TB storage. Depending on the model, graphics is Intel UHD, Iris Xe, or NVIDIA GeForce MX570 A.
Other notables include a stereo speaker, Dolby Atmos, a 51.5 Wh battery paired to a USB-C 65 W charger, and a host of I/Os, including a USB-C, two USB-A, Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0, RJ45, headphone/mic combo jack, and microSD.
The new Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro is open for reservations as we speak from samsung.com. We heard it has a starting price of US$1,050. In case you are wondering, yes, there is a non-Pro model for both Book2 and Book2 360. Anywho, as far as the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Business goes, it will be available starting April in select markets.
