Apollo 11 Lunar Module Desk Is Perfect for Your Office SPACE

Inspired by the Apollo 11 Lunar Module that first carried humans to the moon, this desk crafted by Tom Spina Designs for a client features all the spacey accents that my own home office has been missing. It looks so good I’m afraid to ask how much it cost the customer, but my guess is it was out of this world. Astronomical, even.

The base of the Lunar Module is an old 1960’s style metal desk, with “various Lunar Excursion Model-inspired gear and logos for the moon landing mission and NASA. The front is adorned with lunar landing legs made in golden-toned pipes. The legs sit atop a custom-sculpted, hand-carved foam lunar surface complete with a flag and the iconic first astronaut footprint in the moon dust. The themed desk also has a very special feature – the top allows our client two display spaces for his original autographs from Apollo 11 astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins!”

Oh wow, those autographs from the astronauts really put this thing over the top. And it was already over the top, as far as I’m concerned. Now, just who was this client, anyways? Because I’d like to meet them and pick their brain. Clearly, they’re doing something right.
