With the mention of a Porsche Design backpack, you probably imagine it to be a classy, no-nonsense piece of business gear. Well, in the case of the Porsche Design Sprayground Backpack. This limited edition collaborative backpack with backpack maker Sprayground is the opposite of serious.
This Porsche Design backpack is fun. The backpacker maker most notable for making backpacks not boring lends a dose of cheerfulness to the Porsche Design Sprayground Backpack – Limited Edition from the RS 2.7 collection using a colorful comic design.
The comic isn’t subtle about it being a Porsche Design product. It has a comic rendition of a classic 911 that takes center stage against a Sprayground-risque comic background. Emerging from the windscreen of the Porsche automobile is a prominent speech bubble that proudly proclaimed it as the RS 2.7 Porsche collection. The comic extends to the shoulder straps which is a nice touch, IMHO.
The backpack isn’t all about looks. The Porsche Design Sprayground Backpack – Limited Edition touts a spacious inner compartment with a dedicated laptop compartment. It has a zip pocket at the front that opens vertically and there are side pockets as well as a separate compartment made of velour for sunglasses.
The backpack further boasts ergonomic mesh back padding, individually adjustable shoulder belts, trolley link for easy hooking onto the suitcase before finishing off with orange-red zipper pulls and a matching orange-red label.
The Porsche Design Sprayground Backpack – Limited Edition is limited to just 1,911 units, each one rocking a numbered limited edition badge on the orange-red interior and on the exterior to further remind you and others of its exclusivity.
The Porsche Design Sprayground Backpack – Limited Edition is available now from Porsche-design.com for US$175. Yes. It’s not cheap but goddamn it’s beautiful!
