In what’s sure to become an all too common occurrence in the future, this is a video of YouTuber Robot Circus having a knife fight with a little robot he built. Wow, training robots to wield weapons in battle – what could possibly go wrong? SPOILER: Everything.
Thankfully, the battle was staged using only disposable plastic cutlery, and no blood was drawn, but it’s only a matter of time before that robot picks up a real knife and blood is drawn. Hopefully, not mine because I always faint at the doctor when they take blood for testing, even if it is only a single vial.
Should there be laws against training robots to wield weapons? Yes. Should Robot Circus be locked up for breaking them? Also yes. I’m just saying it’s not fair if I get stabbed by some knife-swinging robot just because somebody’s programming project went rogue.
