Ever wonder why the live-action Bumblebee was never a motorcycle? And what if, Bee was a motorcycle? Well, I think we may have found the answer and that is the custom Bumblebee Motorcycle by Hyderabad, Telangana-based custom bike builder RH Customs.
OK. Maybe Bee won’t explicitly expose his head and let everyone knows that he is a robot in disguise but I think the rest of the bike is pretty spot on that it is a Bumblebee-inspired two-wheeler. Absolutely gorgeous.
According to Hindustan Times Auto, this custom build by RH Customs was originally a 1,300cc Honda X4 but as you can see, not much of the X4 is visible. It is now all Bee in his signature yellow colorway, complete with weathering effects to create the dingy look.
In place of the headlamp unit, this custom ride has a Bumblebee head imported all the way from the stateside. Bee’s eyes illuminate, supplemented by two additional lights on the left and right fairings. The antennas on the head are poseable, btw.
The entire frame is custom-made, and so are the fenders, fairings, and seat. As a nod to the character’s alt mode in the Bumblebee movie, RH Customs have incorporated cam covers from a 1972 Chevrolet Camaro SS which was also sourced from oversea.
Interestingly, each of the cam covers flanking the fuel tank features an Autobot logo. Not sure if it was custom by RH Customs or did the shop managed to locate actual Autobot logo Camaro SS cam covers. Very, very cool. The Autobot logo in yellow can also be found adorning the front forks too, and then there is an Autobot emblem – in gold – just before the fuel tank.
Another interesting design element is the fuel and temperature gauges; they are presented as light bars on top of the tank. Now, that is super cool, IMHO. The fact that RH Customs still incorporate the Honda Motorcycle logo on the fuel tank is also pretty sweet.
The Custom Bumblebee Motorcycle by RH Customs is reportedly a custom job for Mr. Raju and Mr. Raghu.
A huge shout out to RH Customs (@rhcustoms) for sending us the awesome images captured by @affan.intekhab.
